About the poster
The year I worked with TheVibe as Creative Head, I had the chance to illustrate a poster for ALT EFF i.e. All Living Things Environmental Film Festival, as a part of TheVibe's partnership with the festival. I really enjoyed the process of watching the shortlisted films and deriving meaning from the driving force behind each film and also the festival in its purest form.
This poster is an amalgamation of the various films submitted at ALT EFF, 2021. It’s about the North Atlantic Right whale’s extinction from Entangled, an orphaned baby elephant named Shaba, the forced hunting of Pangolins in Uganda, The Last Hop(e) that comes jumping from the lesser known species of Frogs, the fight of the Tigers against humanity in Your Tiger Our Forest, the unending human-leopard conflict in Shoot That Leopard and many such mind bending films that shed light on the reality of our environment, wild life and our planet at large.
All Living Things Environmental Film Festival or ALT EFF is a platform that inspires and mobilises communities to take action towards creating a sustainable future, locally and at large. Their mission is to engage people on the environmental and social issues of our time through an informed, creative and experiential discourse. The festival brings together filmmakers from all over the world on a single platform, united by their purpose of spreading awareness through their craft.
